Squoosh is an open-source image compressor built by the Chrome team. Like Toolkoa, it processes images in the browser without uploading them, and it offers advanced codecs and very detailed settings.
Toolkoa doesn't try to replace those advanced settings: its compressor is simpler (a quality control with live comparison) and it's part of a set of 200+ tools, such as resizing, converting HEIC, removing backgrounds or turning images into PDF, all with the same private approach.
If you need to fine-tune codecs like AVIF or compare compression parameters, Squoosh is a great choice. If you want to do several image tasks in a row without leaving the same site, Toolkoa can save you steps.

Yes. Just like Squoosh, all processing happens in your browser.
More tools in one place: background removal, HEIC conversion, cropping, watermarks, collages or images to PDF.
More codecs and adjustable compression parameters. For fine control over compression it's the better choice.
